I received these lashes as part of a beauty trial box. The Matilda lashes have a really nice natural look so you can wear them for an everyday look or to lift a glam look for a special occasion. They come in a compact box that is easy to slip into your makeup bag. I am not normally a false eyelash wearer and would not spend the money on these for a single use from both a cost and sustainability perspective, so I love that they can be used up to 15 times - but I am a little skeptical on that claim without testing it.

I don’t usually heat style my hair but was given the opportunity to trial this product as part of a beauty trial box. I liked the packaging of the product – a matte pink bottle that’s easy to hold and looks cute. I enjoyed the subtle scent of the product which had pretty much disappeared once the hair was dried. The product was easy to disperse over the hair though I did feel like I needed a lot of sprays of it but it didn’t weigh my hair down. I live in QLD in a humid environment and did find that my hair still had frizz after being blowdried although it was noticeably smoother. I would prefer a product that is not heat activated.

I usually do my brows with a duo powder and brush which is quite a different technique to using this product so I found there was quite a learning curve. While I thought the brow mousse would be easy to use, I think it actually takes a bit of practice to get a good result using it. On my first attempt I found my brows looked very bold so I had to try tone it down for subsequent applications. I am finding that the “medium brown” looks much darker once it dries on the brows than the shade looks on the bottle/brush so I would go a shade lighter in the future. I have found the product does give me fluffy brows but not soft and natural as I would hope. Unfortunately I’ve found that while my brows look pretty good from a small distance, up close they look quite patchy. I will keep practicing with this product as I do like the idea of it but I am not sure it is for me.

This is the second product I have tried from this brand, and I can see why it is a bestseller! The packaging looks quite sleek, and the pump makes it really easy and hygienic to dispense. The product is a clear serum like liquid that is a reasonably light texture, with no fragrance. One pump is enough to spread over the whole face, and I like to use this as the first step after cleansing my face and before applying other serums and moisturiser. It doesn’t take long to absorb into the skin before you can apply your next product. As a part of my daily routine, it helps leave my skin looking plump and hydrated. This is amazing value due to the huge size and I will definitely consider repurchasing it in the future.

I am a Tasmanian girl so it was special to see Tasmanian sea kelp in this product and I was excited to try it. It has a rich creamy texture that sat on top of my skin for a short period before being absorbed. I found the floral fragrance very strong and after the first night I didn’t think I would be able to continue using it because of this, but luckily after a few nights use I got used to it. It still bothers me when I apply it but I no longer notice it once the product has absorbed. My skin looked great the next morning after using this product – very hydrated and plump. It is reasonably priced for the size, although I probably would not purchase it just because of the fragrance.

The product comes is a really nice bag that can be used to store and transport it. I was keen to try this an easy way to style my hair. I have long hair that is fine and thin. I found it frustrating that the tool requires drying hair to 80% first but was glad that an attachment was provided to do this with. As a drier I found it slower than a standard hair-dryer but very light to hold. There is a cool setting but the 2 heat settings felt the same temperature, just one had more powerful air. I tried a few different attachments to achieve different looks but wasn't particularly happy with the results so far. I liked how the 38mm brush had retractable bristles as it was hard to get my hair off without this, but I found it only gave a slight wave at the end of my hair which is less than my natural look. I tried the root volume tool but could only use it on the cool setting as it was too hot on my scalp and didn't see any results. I tried the paddle brush and this did add some volume after finishing upside down and left my hair straight but also frizzy which isn't ideal. Unfortunately I didn't have long to test this out as it arrived after my review was due so perhaps more practice would help since I've never used a product like this before. From the review period, I didn't find it gave me good results and was more effort than I expected.

This Nude by Nature primer comes in a stylish tube with a rose gold cap. It doesn’t say much on the tube as it is all written on the box, it’s strange that not even the directions are repeated on the tube. The box has a lovely matte texture that feels nice to touch. The primer itself is a shimmery white colour with a runny consistency. It has a soft scent that I can’t put my finger on, but is perhaps similar to citrus. It’s easy to apply over your face and leaves the skin feeling slightly tacky to touch. The light-reflecting pearls make my skin look shimmery and glittery, probably a little too much for my liking for everyday use as it is a little unnatural. I would class this as more glittery than glowing, and certainly not very natural look. I don’t wear foundation often and that fact paired with the current requirement to always wear masks when out of the house has meant I haven’t really got to test if this helps with the longevity of makeup. I did use a pressed power foundation on top of the primer, and while it certainly applied well, it was hard to notice any difference from without the primer. I do like to wear primer for special occasions and I will be happy to use this product knowing that it is natural and actually good for my skin, and for those occasions I think the shimmer will work.

I have very fine hair and experience lots of hair loss, so this product sounded like it was made for me. I had not heard of it before but it sounded fantastic, and being natural was an added bonus. It comes in a bottle that looks quite pretty and is reasonably large at 200mL. The spray nozzle is a great design and makes it so easy to target this product on your roots which is what the instructions say to do. I did find it tricky to know if I had covered all my hair as it goes onto wet hair and is clear so it’s impossible to see. The product has a strong musk scent. I could smell it when applying and noticed it a little myself on the first day but my partner commented on it even the following day or two. I only wash my hair every five days or so, so I didn’t have a lot of opportunity to try this product many times during the trial period. I have not noticed any changes to my hair thickness or hair loss, but I didn’t expect that I would so soon after having only used it three times. I will continue to use this as I am very hopeful that it will make a positive difference to my hair with longer use. I only wish that it could be used on dry hair so I could use it more. If this product works, I think it’s a very reasonable price and will definitely repurchase it! For now, I recommend it as it smells nice and I have hope it will work given it's ingredients and claims.

I love all the Glow Lab products I have used so I was keen to try this one which I hadn’t used before. I didn’t realise until I read the packaging that the product doesn’t actually contain retinol which until researching now I didn’t know was synthetic. I like that this product uses Bakuchiol instead which is naturally derived. The serum itself has a soft scent which smells a bit like rosewater. Once a few drops are required to cover the whole face and it’s easy to apply. It does feel a little oily and leaves a soft sheen on the skin once absorbed, so may not be suitable for oilier skin types for daytime use. I have been using this at night-time before applying a night crème and also sometimes in the morning before an SPF moisturiser. I trialled this as part of Natural Beauty Month which also required me to use other facial products so it is hard to isolate the result of this product in a rather short trial period of two weeks. I think perhaps my skin looked a little smoother and more even, but I will need to continue trialling for a longer period before I know.

I was keen to try this product, having loved many Essano products that I’ve tried before. I haven’t used a Vitamin C serum before so I was interested to see the result. It comes in a nice little brown bottle with a simple label that looks pretty neat. The serum itself is white which I thought was unusual as all other types of serum I’ve used are clear. As it is white, it does look a bit messy around the rim of the bottle. The serum smells of orange which I really like but be warned it is a strong smell. It is easy to apply although I found the instruction to pat it on was strange rather than rubbing it in. It feels very light on the skin and after application, it doesn’t leave any visible residue. I have heard that vitamin C products can be irritating but I had no issues at all using this one. I used it every morning before my SPF moisturiser. I trialled this as part of Natural Beauty Month which also required me to use other facial products so it is hard to isolate the result of this product but I do believe it made my skin glow a little more and brighten slightly in less than two weeks of use. It seems a little ununusal that this claims to be a ‘high-strength formula’ when it only has 5% vitamin C which is less than most on the market. It seems like a good starting point though as I had never tried vitamin C and I am guessing lower concentrations are less prone to irritate. I think the price point of this product is good and I will continue to use and monitor for effects over a longer period.
